The Gypsy Homestead Astro-Vibe for Thursday April 22, 2021

The Gypsy Homestead Astro-Vibe for April 22, 2021:
All things earthy and Taurean. There are now four planets in Taurus and as of this morning (USA) the Moon is traveling through another earth sign called Virgo. Think routines, methodical, gardening, growing things, or even just going slow. The mind tends to take its time under Mercury in Taurus. It weighs and measures words, meanings, and connections. The arts of meditation and mediation (read that again) get a real boost now, because the mind slows down, ponders, and takes things under consideration before responding. These planetary influences are active for the rest of this month. Take time to get out in nature today. Your inner voice/soul knows what to say or do to point you in the right direction. It will be easier to steadily work towards completing a goal or getting a project off on a correct course.
Earth signs aren't exactly lazy, they just like to take their time and get everything in order before moving forward. Also, they are magnetic when it comes to attracting money or abundance. When you begin to see how the magic of fair exchange works you'll open up the pathways you need to establish for a bountiful future. Also, romance begins to deepen now as the heart signals a desire for commitment. The catch? This works if both parties are looking for the same thing. Otherwise, have fun and stay true to your inner knowing. It's another night that's perfect for sitting in silence and listening to your own breath. Yes, you are a part of a much larger energetic fabric.
Although it's easy to get wrapped up in our own lives it's also important to still pay attention to what is going on in the collective. The dark is slowly giving way to the light. Be a witness to the current awakening!

Happy Birthday to ME and Happy Earth Day to the EARTH!!!!!

Happy Birthday to ME and Happy Earth Day 2021 to the EARTH!!!!   Im so lucky to share a Birthday with Earth Day.  On this day each year, I love to plant a tree.  It's been my yearly tradition for the last 20 years at least.  In my state this year, it snowed the last few days as part of a late cold front that moved through. so this year, my tree planting will have to wait until weekend when the temps are due to go back up.  Im going to plant a Prarie Fire Crabapple in the backyard.  As my last year in my 40's I will go out like I came in (planted pink roses the year I turned 40)- Prarie Fire Crabapples bloom BEAUTIFUL pink flowers and provide tasty crabapples most the winter for the birds to enjoy.  I love planting, gardening and growing......just being in Nature is enough to restore my soul!  If you are looking for a cause to donate to, "Trees for Tomorrow" out of Eagle River, Wisconsin is a great place to donate, and very near and dear to my heart.  You can donate securely on the website www.TreesforTomorrow.com  or you can also purchase seedlings from the site... I am definitely going to be purchasing some seedlings of evergreens for my backyard from Trees for Tomorrow

I love this cause and how it helps to educate on how important trees are to the Earth!  Check them out!  Happy Earth Day 2021!!!!!

The Gypsy Homestead Astro-Vibe for Wednesday April 21, 2021

The Gypsy Homestead Astro-Vibe for April 21, 2021:
Taurus Sun and Leo Moon would rather sit this day out. In other words, no big move on a personal level is better than a bad move. That's mostly because the vibes are more methodical and fixed than they were in Aries. Look around you and see if you can sense the change in the cosmic fabric. In the big picture, this paradigm shift requires us to unload old beliefs and even ways of working on tasks. The shift we're in also requires us to open up our eyes, our senses, and our intuition. Then, we need to believe in irrevocable change. So be it. For now, the day's vibes are discordant with Moon Leo's sunnier outlook. So, be cool, stay in your own groove, and work on getting stuff done before Mars moves into Cancer on Friday. Opt for the sunny outlook, just take baby steps with whatever you're working on.
Moon in Leo works well with Rose Quartz, the scent of Rose, and the heart chakra. Issues of the heart, be it health or romance, can be healed under this lunar energy. Small, loving gestures are a forte of Leo Moon, just as dramatic productions are. Perhaps dropping off some food items to the food bank or supplies to an animal shelter will help spread the good Leo Moon vibes. Then, turn off the distractions tonight and just be. Meditation will lower the heart rate and blood pressure. Ah, there. You'll be helping your heart. The energies will pick up again on Thursday and for the rest of the week.. Motivation will increase and then you'll be more inclined to start new projects.

Delicious Homemade Redbud Jelly!!!!!

Ever made Redbud Jelly?   Its so easy and taste SOOOO GOOOD!  You can substitue any wildflower (dandelion, violets etc) in this recipe.  Give it a try if you've never experienced the flavor of some good ole homemade Redbud Jelly!!!!

*Go out and pick yourself a big bowl of redbud flowers.

*Rinse in a collander in your sink after soaking for 24 hours.

Ingredients

IT IS ALMOST TOO EASY TO MAKE...FIRST SOAK FOR A LEAST 24 HOURS AS INSTRUCTED
2 to 3 c redbud blooms (flowers)
2 c boiling water this will make a Redbud "Tea"
AFTER SOAKING 24 HOURS, TO THE 2-CUPS OR SO OF THE REDBUD EXTRACT ADD
2 Tbsp lemon juice
3 Tbsp sure jell powdered pectin
2 c sugar (or sugar substitute)

Directions

1. Place 2 cups (up to 3 cups) of rinsed redbud flowers in a jar and just barely cover with approx. 2 cups of boiling water. They will float, so push them down a couple of times. Cover, let stand 24 hours. After they cool to room temperature, stick them in the refrigerator. After 24 hours strain and discard the blossoms.
2. To the 2 cups of the redbud extract, add 2-T of lemon juice, and 3-T of 'Sure Jell' powdered pectin. Bring to a boil and add 2 cups sugar and bring back to a rolling boil. Boil hard for 1 minute. Pour into jelly glasses and seal.
3. NOTE Try making this with Splenda or Stevia (or what ever sugar-substitute you use) and make it Diabetic Friendly.
4. ALSO a note of caution-check the Sure Jell instructions for how much to use if you're not using sugar, but Splenda or another sugar-free sweetener. It may take more to gel.

The Gypsy Homestead Astro-Vibe for Tuesday April 20, 2021

The Gypsy Homestead Astro-Vibe for April 20, 2021:
Who's going to win? The Cosmos creates a lot of stubborn energies today. The Moon entered Leo overnight and isn't going to shrink away from the fixed energies of Sun, Mercury, or Venus in Taurus. Pick your battles!!! You may have to give a little to get a little. Work to keep your ego from taking over and dropping your vibes into the lower dimensions where anger and judgment live. Use the challenging energies to get projects and tasks done. It's a great time to study and learn because the vibes are very focused. Today is the most frustrating day of the week-work from your core and be aware of how others react to you.
Moon in Leo is as stubborn as the Sun in Taurus. Happy mediums are the way to go today. Here's a cosmic hint: Both signs love the idea of Romance. Rose Quartz and Roses will help keep your vibes centered. Buy yourself a Rose if you make it through the day without turning into an angry lion. Tiger's Eye will assist you as you deal with your career or if you need to increase your ambition. Tonight, listen to soft or romantic music to soothe the soul. Draw in the higher vibes and commune with your guides, guardians, or the unseen. Wednesday's vibes will be less intense. Mars is getting ready to go into Cancer on Friday. Finish up writing or research projects before then.

The Gypsy Homestead Astro-Vibe for Monday April 19, 2021

The Gypsy Homestead Astro-Vibe for April 19, 2021:
Change of address. Mercury enters the earthy sign of Taurus, then the Sun does the same thing a few hours later. It's time to pump the brakes and make decisions based on specific thoughts that have longevity attached. The Cosmos asks that you work through the systems of consistency and stability. By doing this, you build structures that will see you through any ups and downs that life brings. The bonus is that Taurus is a very sensual sign that loves beauty, the ease of a consistent routine, and love that isn't easily shaken. We've made it through the first phase of the zodiacal year. Now we can head for a more stable future.
The Moon remains in Cancer. Between this Moon and the new Taurean Sun today's main focus will be on projects for the home. You may even wish to make your workspace more comfortable or inviting. If you need to engage in teamwork be a good listener today. It will take less energy to see the picture being presented. Taurean energies respond to Lapis Lazuli, (love me some Lapis!) Tourmaline, and Rose Quartz. Lapis instills confidence. Tourmaline attracts good finances - Taurus loves money as a means of stability. Rose Quartz activates the soft vibes of the heart and romance. Lavender will help smooth out the transition between the energetic shifts. You should sleep well tonight as the frenetic energies of Aries fade away. Write down prophetic dreams or messages. Mercury enters Taurus at 3:29 am (PDT/USA + 8 hrs UK). The Sun moves into Taurus at 1:33 pm. It may take a day or two to feel the full effects of these energetic changes.

The Gypsy Homestead Astro-Vibe for Sunday April 18, 2021

The Gypsy Homestead Astro-Vibe for April 18, 2021:
Who are you? The Sun spends its last full day in fiery Aries. Take a minute and list five things you think you are and five things you think you are not. Do they mesh with your soul truth? Are there ways you could be more loving? Let today's energies pull you into greater self awareness and love yourself. Once the Sun moves into Taurus the need to make beneficial decisions will come to the forefront. Knowing yourself helps you make the best decisions for the future and yourself. Why? Because you are worthy of the best life you desire.
Moon in Cancer tends to bring out our loving nature. Good food, tender words, and comfort help you feel better under this Moon. Also, it's a good day to use the last of the Aries Sun energies to repair or redo your space. You may sense the vibes are calming down tonight as the Sun prepares to enter earthy Taurus. Quiet music, working with your crystals or altar, or doing gentle stretches will help move you into a knowing or state of relaxation. Also, meditation will put you in a receptive state for sleep or prophetic dreams. We are moving into a more gentle time of the year. But, make no mistake, that doesn't mean we'll be giving up the resolve make the world a better place.
Cancer Moon often likes to connect at a soul level. Rubies help draw in those connections while maintaining or increasing self esteem. Use them to increase enthusiasm and love. Cook with Basil or Parsley today to draw in positive energies.

Chakra's for Beginners

Chakra for Beginners:

What are Chakras????

Chakras are circles of energy. Energy flows through your body via energy pathways called meridians. So your chakras are simply energy hubs where your meridians meet.  Imagine a road system with lots of intersections (or roundabouts). The car is like your energy which travels along the road (your energy pathway — meridians) and the intersections or roundabouts are like your chakras.

The seven chakras are the main energy centres of the body. You’ve probably heard people talk about “unblocking” their chakras, which refers to the idea that when all of our chakras are open, energy can run through them freely, and harmony exists between the physical body, mind, and spirit. Chakra translates to “wheel” in Sanskrit, and you can imagine them like wheels of free-flowing positive energy.

In this beginner’s guide, we’ll introduce how to identify when any of your seven main chakras are out of balance. We’ll also summarize the defining characteristics of each chakra, from root to crown.

1. Root Chakra (Muladhara)
The root chakra represents our foundation. On the human body, it sits at the base of the spine and gives us the feeling of being grounded. When the root chakra is open, we feel confident in our ability to withstand challenges and stand on our own two feet. When it’s blocked, we feel threatened, as if we’re standing on unstable ground.

Location: Base of spine, in tailbone area
What it controls: Survival issues such as financial independence, money, and food
Mantra: “I can’t grow from an unsteady foundation.”
Colour: Red
Element: Earth
Stone: Hematite
When it develops: 1-7 years old

2. Sacral Chakra (Swadhisthana)
The sacral chakra helps inform how we relate to our emotions and the emotions of others. It also governs creativity and sexual energy. Those with a blocked sacral chakra could feel a lack of control in their lives.

Location: Lower abdomen, about 2 inches below the navel
What it controls: Your sense of abundance, well-being, pleasure, and sexuality
Mantra: “I always honor others but not before myself.”
Color: Orange
Element: Water
Stone: Tiger’s Eye
When it develops: 8-14 years old

3. Solar Plexus Chakra (Manipura)
The third chakra, the solar plexus chakra, speaks to your ability to be confident and in control of your life. Think back to the last time you had butterflies or felt a pit in the stomach: That’s the Manipura chakra at work. If your solar plexus chakra is blocked, you might feel overwhelming amounts of shame and self-doubt. Those with open sacral chakras are free to express their true selves.

Location: Upper abdomen in the stomach area
What it controls: Self-worth, self-confidence, and self-esteem
Mantra: “Self-love starts when I accept all parts of myself.”
Colour: Yellow
Element: Fire
Stone: Amber
When it develops: 15-21 years old

4. Heart Chakra (Anahata)
The heart chakra is the bridge between the lower chakras (associated with materialism) and the upper chakras (associated with spirituality). As the name suggests, this chakra can influence our ability to give and receive love—from others and ourselves. Someone with a blocked heart chakra will have difficulty fully opening up to the people in their life. If someone’s heart is open, they can experience deep compassion and empathy.

Location: Centre of chest, just above the heart
What it controls: Love, joy, and inner peace
Mantra: “When I love myself, loving others comes easily.”
Colour: Green
Element: Air
Stone: Rose Quartz
When it develops: 21-28 years old

5. Throat Chakra (Vishuddha)
The throat chakra gives voice to the heart chakra and controls our ability to communicate our personal power. When it’s functioning at full capacity, it allows us to express ourselves truly and clearly. Someone with a blocked throat chakra will feel like they have trouble finding the words to say how they truly feel.

Location: Throat
What it controls: Communication, self-expression, and truth
Mantra: “I speak my truth, always.”
Colour: Light Blue/Turquoise
Element: Sound/Music
Stone: Aquamarine
When it develops: 29-35 years old

6. Third-Eye Chakra (Ajna)
As we move up the body, we’re getting closer to communion with the divine. The third-eye chakra controls our ability to see the big picture and connect to intuition. Think of it as the eye of the soul: It registers information beyond the surface level. Visions and intuitive hits are not uncommon for someone with an open third-eye chakra.

Location: Forehead between the eyes (also called the Brow Chakra)
What it controls: Intuition, imagination, and wisdom
Mantra: “I am open to exploring what cannot be seen.”
Colour: Dark Blue/Purple
Element: Light
Stone: Amethyst
When it develops: 36-42 years old

7. Crown Chakra (Samsara or Sahasrara)
The crown chakra, the highest chakra, sits at the crown of the head and represents our ability to be fully connected spiritually. When you fully open your crown chakra—something very few people ever do!—you’re able to access a higher consciousness.

Location: The very top of the head
What it controls: Inner and outer beauty, spiritual connection
Lesson: “I am a vessel for love and light.”
Colour: Violet/White
Element: Divine Consciousness
Stone: Clear quartz
When it develops: 43-49 years old.

The Gypsy Homestead Astro-Vibe for Saturday April 17, 2021

The Gypsy Homestead Astro-Vibe for April 17, 2021
A cosmically busy day. Check in with yourself often. The scent of Lavender and Hematite may come in handy today as this is the ultimate day of release. Make no mistake - Sun in Aries can be the ultimate expression of ego, but the higher vibes of Aries help release it, too. So, let go and be your true self today! Yep. No BS. No pretenses. Just you. While that can be a new adventure for some, most of us have been slowly itching to break free. Creativity is an excellent avenue to express your inner self. The Moon in Gemini is keeping our minds in high gear. Be sure to just stop for a moment. Take deep breaths and release pent up energies. Luckily, the Cosmos is also providing a break when the Moon moves into Cancer at 12:25 pm (PDT/USA + 8 hrs UK). Curiosity morphs into sentimental thoughts and a more caring mood. By tonight (USA) you'll be more apt to want a comfortable spot, good music, and companionship. The ability to sleep will return tonight. On the larger scale, there could be lots of general unrest. Stay out of the chaos. You know what is truth and what are lies designed to sway your emotions. We're raising our vibes, not lowering them with turmoil and rhetoric. Most of all, claim your sovereignty and vibe high! Take care! Once the Sun goes into Taurus on Monday the aggressiveness of Aries will dissipate. Then, we can get down to the business of improving our security and finances. Gather some Rhodonite to work with the Taurean energies.
